Individuals interested in supporting cancer research can make a donation in several ways. They can donate money by mail or phone; they can contribute their frequent-flier miles to help facilitate air transportation of cancer patients; or they can encourage their employers to participate in a matching gift program.
There are many opportunities to volunteer, such as giving cancer patients a ride to their appointments as part of the Road to Recovery program,
The American Cancer Society hosts events throughout the year, from black-tie galas and golf tournaments to marathons and triathlons. The Relay for Life is a run/walk designed to remember those who have been diagnosed with this disease.
